My 18th!

Hey Guys!

Sorry it has been a while! I few weeks ago I celebrated my 18th birthday!! Normally, I'm very lucky and my birthday happens to be in the Easter holiday! So lucky in fact that's been the case for the last 17 years! But, I wasn't that lucky this year and my birthday was on a school day - but hey it was nice to get to spend my birthday with all of my friends!

This was the night of my birthday, me, my family and my boyfriend went to the pub and then out for a curry! (yes even though it was a school night) The next day I spent the night in with a few friends and  I honestly don't think that I have ever laughed that hard before!

Then on Saturday night I planned to go to town with a few of my friends! We went for predrinks at my friends and he suddenly remembered that he had left his card at my house so all of us decided to walk to mine and get the taxi from there! So we got to mine I let myself in , walked into my living room to be greeted by all of my closest friends! I have no idea how they pulled it off but my night was absolutely amazing!

I couldn't think of a better way to spend a birthday!

Idiot Abroad - Part 2

Hey Guys!

As me and my friends are pretty corny we decorated padlocks and attached them to a bridge in her town. We also got matching bracelets and attached one of the keys from our padlock to our bracelet.

So finally it came to the end of our week in Italy and we decided to go out for a goodbye meal at this quaint little restaurant, it was the perfect end to the perfect week!

We then got back to p's and decided we should probably pack. As our coach was at 3am we decided there wasn't much point in us going to sleep as we could just sleep on the plane home - stupid mistake! To bide the time we went out on the roof and took so many pictures, talked, laughed, cried, hugged and of course a final ice cream run! Then we got on the coach, saying goodbye wasn't easy, but hey it never is with someone who means so much to you. We had the tedious coach journey back and arrived in Munich at about 7 am. But look how cool our coach was!!

This was when the trouble began. We got to the airport and went to check in at one of those kiosk places and it said that there were no tickets under our name. So of course we started to panic a little and got straight in the cue to talk to someone. Whilst we were waiting I thought that it would be a good idea to have a second look at our flight information, it was the 13th of August, and our flight should have been at 9:05. Our flight was booked for this time but on the 13th of September! OH GOD! So I shared this information with my friends and the panic set in! We were now 4 hours from Paola's house, in a foreign country with barely any money, a serious language barrier and we hadn't slept for over 24 hours. We had about a hundred euros left at this point and we ran over to the Lufthansa desk and told them our situation trying not to cry! At this point I would like to share that at the time we were all only 17. Their basic response was, we cant get out on that flight, we cant refund your ticket and tickets for the next available flight are 700 euros! OH GOD! So we went around all of the other desks asking about flights to anywhere in the uk and they were all like 300 pounds so we decided to go on one of those computers that you insert money into! I rang my dad and asked him to transfer money into my friends account and then we found some tickets for 150 with Singapore airlines. We booked them and thought that everything was fine! Of course we weren't that lucky! It was about 1pm then and we decided to get some food and then see if the desk for Singapore airlines was open, it was so we went to confirm our bookings. Everything was booked and fine but as we went to walk away they asked us how old we are and we answered 17. They then said "no problem we just need a letter of written consent from your parents" OH GOD! Our parents are in the uk with no way of signing this paperwork! So then the head of Singapore airlines had to speak to my dad and there was a whole guardian issue and lets just say it was complex! Finally, everything was sorted and we decided it was best to go through security as early as possible as we weren't having much luck! Our flight was booked for 6am the following day so we had to stay in the airport overnight! As we checked in so early our gate wasn't up yet so we decided to try and have a nap in gate G. A few sleepless hours later our gate was scheduled as gate H which involved a boarder control! When we got there they asked us for our letters of written consent from our parents and we tried to explain that it had all been sorted an emailed but they were having non of it! So we were taken to a holding cell! OH GOD! We then got questioned on where we were going and where we came from. It was about 8pm now and we decided to get some food and try and find somewhere to rest as now it had been around 36 hours since we had any sleep! We found these amazing comfy chairs to sleep in and at about 1 o'clock we were woken up by police men asking to look at our passports and tickets - after that little sleep I would have given my passport and ticket to anyone! Then at 5:45 we boarded and flew to Manchester then had a 2 hours drive home!

You can see why I titled this idiots abroad now! Here are some extra pictures <3

Idiots Abroad Part 1

Hey Guys!
From the title you may think that I am going to share my love for the show or write a review on it. When really, I want to share a funny story that I don't think I will ever forget!

There is a foreign exchange program at my Sixth form, and a beautiful Italian girl named Paola soon became one of my best friends. I didn't think you could become so close to someone so quickly but she really is beautiful inside and out!
Ignore the dork on the left :')

But then, sadly, in June last year she had to move back home and not going to lie, I cried more than I probably should have! So me and a few friends decided it would be cute to go and visit her it Italy. We saved up and then spent a very long afternoon trying to book tickets as cards were declined, transfers took forever and stupidly we tried to book on a bank holiday so all the call systems were down and it was just a massive pain! Finally, everything was booked and the countdown began!

Paola lives in the hills pretty much in a beautiful town called Bolzano! We always used to mock her and say that she lived with the goats. This in turn meant that getting to her house wasn't the easiest thing in the world! So we got to the airport and when we went to scan the passports on one of the kiosks one of them wouldn't scan and immediately we started to panic - if only this was the extent of our troubles! We eventually got on the flight and landed in sunny Munich, sunny is being kind it was a boiling day! We then had to get on a subway type of train, as non of us could speak any German this wasn't the easiest of tasks and we ended up train hopping for at least half an hour until we reached Munich Train station. We then had to catch a coach for over 4 hours to get to Bozalno! Paola never said it would be that long - but we forgave her eventually ;)  Our coach driver was Italian and almost didn't let us on the coach because there was such a language barrier! But after a long, hot 4 hours we finally got there!

Lake we went for P's 18th
We had an amazing time while we were there and my beautiful Italian turned 18! So to celebrate we spent a day at this beautiful lake stuffing our faces with cake and other great foods and then we decided to hire a pedalo (it had its own slide)! This is one of my, if not my favourite memory from the holiday! Then we decided to go clubbing which was also so much fun, even though trying to dance when it is already so hot is difficult!

This picture also captures a beautiful memory of this holiday! In Bolanzo a lot of people ride bikes, they also get very angry if you walk in the cycle lane, we discovered this very quickly:')  So we decided it would be cute if we hired bikes and then went for a picnic.

There is so much more I want to share about this holiday but I don't want the post to be to long so in a week or 2 I share the rest of my antics with you!

Awards Evening

Hey Guys!

Well these last couple of weeks have been really boring for me! All I have really done is gone to school, come home, waste a few hours, then finally get back to bed. Riveting right?! One cool thing did happen last week, it was my schools prize-giving and I was nominated for an award - the Valery Allen Shield for the Instrumentalist of the Year. Its title sounds much fancier than it actually is! There aren't that many musical people at my school and I am the only one who has continued it into the second year of sixth form so the odds were in my favour. My brother is also musical and won this award 8 years ago, so now both of our names are on the same school shield, which I think is quite cute.

I hope that you all have had a good week!

London Day Trip

Hey Guys! Happy New Year!

So for Christmas me and my boyfriend decided we weren't going to spend money on gifts and we would go on a day trip instead; we decided to go to London!

We went there on the coach and it took about 2 and a half hours and all in all way a nice journey up! One of our first destinations was Bubbleology - the bubble tea store! If you haven't heard of bubble tea go Google it, it is truly one of the most amazing creations (mine Is the green apple with strawberry bubbles)
We then went to other magical stores like Hamleys, the m&m store, the rainbow cafĂ©, Covent gardens, a really quaint underground Nandos ;) It is truly amazing some of the stores that London have! Harrods was absolutely crazy, I don't think I will ever understand how a store can have like 4 lifts, 6 sets of stairs, escalators, basically 5 floors of magic! Its fair to say we got lost so many times!
The thought of going on the London eye terrifies me! I am so scared of heights it is stupid! So we only admired its external beauty (and the que was massive!!) Also the sun was starting to set and it lit up in adorable blue lights!
We were trying to take a picture like a selfie and it was proving very difficult and probably looked hilarious to the passers by. But one lovely women stopped and asked if we needed any help, which was lovely of her! I hope this has given you a little insight into how cool London is! It is so beautiful and you can do everything there! I had an amazing day and it didn't rain - for England that's amazing!

My Christmas

Merry Christmas!
I was so spoilt this year and I am truly grateful for everything I received :) My favourite part of Christmas is getting to spend time with the people I love! The first picture is of my crazyass family; we got matching onesies this year :D The second picture is of my mental boyfriend! The following picture is of my best friend, we were intrigued by the idea of making eggnog (yes she is as crazy as me) so she came round and we made some, it was delicious and so much fun to make! The last one is another family shot! I felt bad that my first post was just an introduction, so I thought I would share some festivities with you lot! Happy holidays!

Beth ♥
